About Rigiflex Boats

The RIGIFLEX brand was created by Henry Jeanneau and André Kobus as a subsidiary of the Jeanneau group in 1972 before becoming independent from Jeanneau in 2010. The Rigiflex brand was subsequently bought by Rototec Engineering of Brittany France a specialist in roto-moulding in 2014 who have continued to update and expand the range on offer.

Rigiflex Boats having been in production for more than 50 years have gained recognition throughout the industry as the original and still the best small safety boats available. Designed for intensive use, Rigiflex boats are rotary moulded (one piece – no joins or seams that can fail !) from hard-wearing, UV resistant materials. The boats are practically unbreakable, require virtually no maintenance and offer years of hard-wearing service.

The instantly recognisable New Matic range in safety orange has become the reference point for a small safety boat. The New Matic is extremely popular with professional and commercial organisations, with thousands in use every day as safety, rescue and work boats.

Other models in the Rigiflex range, such as the Aqua Peche have gained favour over the years with waterway management and river authorities thanks to their shallow draft hulls, spacious deck layout and great stability. The dark green Aqua Peche also blends well into its surroundings and has a strong fishing and freshwater angling following.

The CAP range blends a robust, hard-wearing, low-maintenance design with a clean look to appeal to the recreational market. Be it just for fun, fishing or as a general utility boat, the CAP is a great all-rounder that, like all Rigiflex boats, won’t break the bank!

Material

All Rigiflex boats are made from 100% polyethylene. Polyethylene is one of the most commonly used materials for roto-moulding and is strong, long lasting and very easy to maintain. Polyethylene has numerous advantages over plastic:

The advantages of polyethylene

  • Classed as indestructible
  • Superior resistance to knocks, scrapes and cracking
  • Highly resistant to UV
  • Insulates from electricity
  • Simple upkeep and repair
  • Light (so easy to transport)
  • Totally recyclable material

Rigiflex boats are fully impregnated with dyes for exceptional resistance to UV. Our boats also have a great reputation for withstanding knocks and bumps. Their light weight makes for easy transportation and quick and easy handling in and out of the water.

There is very little that can go wrong with these boats! Rigiflex have decades of experience in plastic manufacturing and there efficient production processes mean all Rigiflex boats represent excellent value for money!
